How to Stop the Drift Before Weight Creeps Back On

May 15, 20262 min read

Hey Lovely,

Can I just tell you, I love a streak.

Yes, I want to shout it out, not because they’re intense or impressive like long challenges but because they stop that quiet little slide that so many of us know too well.

The few days where routines have quietly faded, the step count is down, food becomes more random and you tell yourself you’ll sort it out soon.

That’s usually how the weight starts creeping back on again.

It's usually the small things slipping for long enough, not one massive blowout on a Saturday because the husband drove you mad.

April was a difficult month for me as an old injury surfaced and my usual walking routine changed more than I expected. My fat burn minutes dropped significantly, even though I kept a minimum step level and I felt the difference quite quickly.

Normally, this is the point where us girls think we need to go all in again or slowly build up to the next push.

But honestly, the important thing is not restarting perfectly. It’s stopping the drift before it turns into a full slide backwards.

This week I’m doing a simple three-day streak of making sure my heart rate is raised for thirty minutes so I hit fat burn. It’s not extreme or overwhelming, just enough to reconnect with my routine again.

If I miss a day, I don’t treat it as a failure.
I simply begin another streak.

And if you complete the three days, the trick is to take a short break and begin another one. Even if the streak breaks now and then, you still often end up doing something every other day, which is far better than drifting completely.

That’s the real power of it, a streak gives you something small to hold onto before things unravel completely.

Sometimes the smallest thing, held consistently, is enough to pull you back into rhythm again.

So maybe the question you should ask yourself is:

What small streak could help you stop the drift before it turns into a major overhaul and starting over again?

💜 On June 5th, I’m opening a new 10-day group.
It's for women who are tired of starting over and want something that finally holds when life gets busy.

We’ll focus on fixing the moments where things usually begin slipping,
so your weight can keep moving in the right direction instead of slowly ending up back where you started... or even higher than before.

If that sounds like exactly what you need right now, send me a WhatsApp message with the words “10 days".
