Do you keep meaning to get your steps in
but it doesn't always happen?

It’s not laziness.
It’s not a lack of discipline.
And it’s not because you don’t care about your health.

Most of the time, it’s because walking has no fixed place in your day.

We often say, “I’ll walk more this week,” but we don’t decide when.

So walking becomes optional.
And optional things are the first to go when life gets busy.

This is where anchors come in.

Anchors are moments in your day that already exist.
They’re predictable and repeatable.

Things like:

When you wake up.
Before the school run (park far).
Straight after lunch or lunchtime.
As soon as you finish work.
After dinner.

When you attach walking to one of these moments, it stops being something you have to remember and starts becoming your identity.

That’s the shift most women miss.

So this week, try this:

Pick one anchor in your day.
Just one.

Decide in advance: “This is when I walk.”

You don’t need more time.
You don’t need more motivation.
You need a clearer trigger.

Once walking has a home in your day, it starts to feel more natural.
Less like effort.
More like something that’s simply part of how you live.

That’s how habits and identities build.
Not perfectly, but consistently.
