How to Stay Active When Life Disrupts Your Routine

April 13, 20261 min read

Hey Lovely,

April has flown by for me and I’m struggling to believe we are almost halfway through the month.

The holidays have a way of disrupting even the best routines and you’ve probably seen your step count, eating habits and fitness routine slip as life took over.

I noticed it myself over the holidays. My steps either dropped or I wasn’t getting my heart rate up as much on the walks and I could feel the temptation to drop it all and start properly this week.

That instinct is where most people lose momentum.

How to Stay Consistent When Life Gets Busy
A more helpful way to look at it is this: you don’t need to restart or reset once life feels manageable again. What helps more is having an acceptable, doable minimum that you can hold on to while everything else feels slightly out of sync.

So if you’ve entered the week with your routine in disarray, try not to fall into the all-or-nothing thinking that often follows. Keep it doable instead by choosing a short route, keep it brisk and let that be enough for a few days.

Momentum builds more quickly than you expect when you remove pressure and keep moving, you'll probably surprise yourself.

If staying active has felt like a struggle recently or your eating habits have slipped a little, hit reply or message me on WhatsApp and we can look at what would support you best right now.
