Week 1 Reflections

Hey both....

We've only been together a few days but something important has already happened.

As we've shared our stories, one thing has become really clear, the numbers are different but the experience is almost identical for all of us.

Lose weight → Feel great → Life changes →The weight comes back → Start again.

That's the cycle we're here to break.

What's been amazing is that we've been very engaged, sharing meals, celebrating walks, asking questions, being honest about our days, so long may we keep this up. This is already becoming a place where you can show up as you are, not as you think you should be.

That's exactly the kind of environment where lasting change actually happens.

You've both shared the weight you'd love to lose over the coming months. Those goals matter and we'll keep them in sight, but for these next 10 days, I'd like us to measure success a little differently.

Instead of "how much weight have I lost?", try asking:

- Did I keep showing up?

- Did I make one better decision today?

- Did I bounce back quickly after a wobble?

- Am I building habits I can still see myself doing three months from now?

Weight loss follows consistency.
Consistency doesn't follow weight loss.
That's what we're here to build.

One idea I'd love us to hold onto throughout these four months is this: Nothing becomes two days.

One missed walk? Fine. One takeaway we aren't happy with? Fine. One rough weigh-in? Fine. One difficult weekend? Fine.

The only thing we don't allow is one day turning into two.

When something doesn't go to plan, our job is simple:
notice → adjust → continue. That's what getting back on track actually looks like.


We will not reset, detox, wait for Monday, punish the next day
We will take the next small decision, adjust the next meal, take the next walk.

If we can each say by the end of these four months, "
I get back on track quickly" — that's the habit that changes everything. Because the women who lose weight and keep it off aren't the ones who never have a bad day. They're the ones who've stopped letting a bad day become a bad week.

We're moving away from the cycle of negotiating with ourselves, feeling guilty when things don't go to plan, disappearing for a while and then starting over again. That inner negotiation is exhausting we know exactly how it ends.

Instead, we're learning to pause, make one small adjustment and keep going.

By the end of these four months, if each of us can honestly say "even when life doesn't go to plan, I know exactly how to keep going" , we'll have achieved something far bigger than a number on a scale.
