It’s summer time and this is the easiest way to get your steps (and your smile) in this week!
I think some of the most joyful movement happens when you’re just catching up, not working out.
Instead of sitting for coffee or a call, why not suggest a walk with a friend, family, neighbour or a colleague? It’s connection and activity all in one.
Here’s a little sparkle to try this week, inspired by a cool study from Japan:
Walk as fast as you can for 3 minutes
Then at a quick pace for 3 minutes
Repeat this cycle for about 30 minutes
This rhythm of fast, quick, fast, quick has been shown to boost fitness, heart health, calorie burn and even help prevent diabetes.
If you’re like me, a quick pace is hard to keep up for long so the intervals make it much easier. Plus, you’ll keep chatting, so the time flies, your mood lifts, and you’ll notch up plenty of fat-burn minutes.

So, send that message: “Fancy a walk & talk?” Pick the day, choose a route and step into that fast–quick rhythm.
Your body, heart, and soul will thank you for it.
